Editing Diary - 08/11/11

We have now completed the cutting process. Now we are working on the effects, transitions and stylizing of the video. A blue tint is going to be used on the hotel room scenes, as this reflects the mood that we are trying to create. The rap scenes however need a different style as these shots all use natural lighting, this causes the effects to look different outside.

In Kanye's video "Runaway", the video has been enhanced by a very high contrast edit. This has emphasised the colours of green and black. It also appears as if the colours have become more saturated. You can see "Runaway" below, and another video "Amazing" which uses similar techniques in it's lighter scenes. We could trial this in our own video.

As you can see the colours of green and blue are very prominent. We will experiment with these colours and add them to our blog when we next edit.
